Apple has chosen a relatively late date for its spring event this year. It is set to take place on May 7th, just a month before WWDC 2024. The company appears to have a plethora of new products to unveil, leading it to squeeze one more event into its schedule before the summer holidays.
What will Apple reveal at its event?
The event slogan, "Let loose," doesn't reveal much on its own, but the inclusion of the Apple Pencil in the promotional animation speaks volumes.
Based on our leaks, the new generation of this stylus is believed to incorporate new sensors that enable the device to register a squeezing gesture. While this might seem small, focusing on the stylus as a key feature of the upcoming event signals Apple's commitment to this innovation.
The vibrant Apple logo could also hint at new iPad Pro displays. These are rumoured to be the company's first tablets to feature OLED screens. Furthermore, they are expected to come equipped with the highly efficient M3 chip.
We can also look forward to the company unveiling a new iPad Air, reportedly featuring a screen size of approximately 33 cm (13 inches) for the first time.
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has hinted that Apple might showcase a redesigned keyboard for the iPad Pro at the event. The alterations in shape and mounts are intended to enhance the tablet's laptop-like functionality.
Further details on the new iPads and their compatible accessories will be disclosed on May 7th.
