Angelina Jolie has ended the eight-year divorce struggle with Brad Pitt, gaining approximately £65 million. Although the divorce is officially finalised, the conflict over the French estate Chateau Miraval and the attached vineyard remains unresolved.

The couple, who met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004, signed a prenuptial agreement before they married in 2014, which outlined the division of assets in the event of a divorce.

The agreement stipulated that each party would retain their own assets from before the marriage and divide shared resources. However, the divorce process has brought Jolie significant financial benefits.

Angelina Jolie’s gains after divorce

Jolie, one of the best-paid actresses in Hollywood, earning between £16 million to £28 million per movie, achieved the largest gains in 2021 by selling 50% of her shares in Chateau Miraval to Stoli Group for approximately £52 million. This decision stirred controversy since the estate was originally designated to secure their children's future.

Moreover, in 2021, Jolie sold a painting by Winston Churchill given to her by Pitt for approximately £9 million. The actress also repaid a loan of approximately £6.5 million, which Pitt had given her for purchasing an estate in Los Angeles, where she currently resides with their children.

No contact with their father

Angelina and Brad have six children: Maddox (23 years old), Pax (21 years old), Zahara (19 years old), Shiloh (18 years old), and twins Knox and Vivienne (16 years old). Jolie obtained full custody of the children, while Pitt received visitation rights.

Despite numerous reconciliation attempts, the children do not maintain contact with their father or his family, a result of the mounting conflict since the couple's separation in 2016.
