'Emilia Pérez' shines: Golden glory at 2025 Golden Globes
The Golden Globes 2025 have just concluded. The production "Emilia Pérez" received the most nominations, with actors such as Timothée Chalamet, Angelina Jolie, Hugh Grant, and Demi Moore, among others, competing for the wins in the acting categories. So, who walked away with the revered trophies?
The Golden Globes are an annual celebration cherished by film enthusiasts worldwide. This year, Hollywood's elite gathered once again at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles for the presentation of the famous awards. The 82nd Golden Globe ceremony was hosted by Nikki Glaser and was broadcast live by CBS.

This year, in the film categories, the production "Emilia Pérez" led with the most nominations, being recognised in an impressive 10 categories. This marked the highest number of nominations at this gala and the second highest in the competition's history. Competing for the title of Best Dramatic Film were "Dune: Part Two", "Conclave", and "The Brutalist", while in the Non-English Language Film category, the Polish co-production "Girl with a Needle" by Magnus von Horn featured prominently.
The production "The Bear" was highly appreciated in the television categories, boasting nominees such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Keira Knightley, Colin Farrell, Selena Gomez, and Harrison Ford. The film categories also featured many famous names, including Timothée Chalamet, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant, Demi Moore, and Denzel Washington.

The musical "Emilia Pérez" shone at the awards, taking home four Golden Globes. Close behind was "The Brutalist", which emerged as the Best Drama and also bagged honours for its director and actor, Adrien Brody. "The Wicked" was limited to a commercial achievement award, while the series "Shogun" secured three acting trophies. A notable surprise was Allen White's success, who won his third Golden Globe for his role in the series "The Bear". Once again, the Best Series accolade went to "Hacks".
