To prepare the solution, you need 500 millilitres of cold water, 100 millilitres of vinegar, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Vinegar has excellent descaling and polishing properties, making it perfect for cleaning glossy surfaces. Olive oil, on the other hand, helps moisturise and protect the panel surface, restoring its shine. It's best to transfer the prepared mixture into a spray bottle, which makes application easier.

Once you have the solution ready, it’s time to clean the panels. The key is to thoroughly vacuum the floor before starting to clean, removing all dirt and dust. Then proceed to clean the panels using a soft microfiber cloth, which doesn’t leave streaks and picks up dirt well.

When using the solution, spray the floor section by section and immediately wipe with a microfiber cloth, moving in the direction of the panels. This will help you avoid streaks and smudges. If you notice a vinegar smell remains on the floor, you can add a few drops of essential oil to the solution, which will also ensure a pleasant scent in the room. Remember not to flood the panels with excessive water, as they may warp.

Besides the aforementioned method, there are several other home remedies you can use to clean panels. One of them is using a dishwasher tablet. Simply add one tablet to a bucket of warm water and clean the floor. Dishwasher tablets are great for tough stains and greasy spots.

You can also use washing-up liquid. Add a small amount of soap to warm water and use a mop to wipe the floor. Washing-up liquid removes stubborn dirt while being gentle on the panel surfaces.

The regularity of cleaning panels is crucial for keeping them in good condition. It is recommended to clean them at least once a week and even more frequently in high-traffic areas. Avoid using very hot water, as it may damage the protective layer of the panels.
