As the name suggests, a croissant burger is a burger where the bun has been replaced by a fluffy and buttery. This unusual mix of sweet and savoury creates a unique harmony of flavours. The meat, cheese, vegetables and sauces, which are typical burger ingredients, combined with the delicate, buttery pastry make for an extraordinary composition. The surprise on the faces of your loved ones is guaranteed, and the plates after such a meal come back empty.
Croissant burger
This is a trend that makes sense. Since it appeared online, it quickly became a hit among fans of new trends. It's perfect for lunch, you can serve it for dinner, and it's the star of the evening at gatherings with friends.
You can choose the toppings according to your preferences. We went with the classic combo of fresh cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise, and an egg addition. This burger tastes good, both warm and cold, replacing a sandwich. Choosing wholegrain croissants is best, although the buttery ones also work well.
Ingredients:
- 1 buttery or wholegrain croissant,
- 2 slices of tomato,
- 3 slices of cucumber,
- 140 grams of ground beef,
- Salt and pepper to taste,
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese,
- 1 egg,
- 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise,
- 2 leaves of lettuce.
Preparation Method:
Step 1. Cut the croissant in half. Slice the tomato and cucumber (preferably at an angle).
Step 2. Grind the meat in a grinder if you're not using store-bought ground beef. Form a ball, season with salt, and fry it in a pan, flattening it into a patty. Finally, place the cheese slices on the meat to melt them.
Step 3. Fry the egg and toast the croissant halves. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half, add the lettuce leaves, tomatoes, cucumber and meat. Add the fried egg and cover with the other half of the croissant. Enjoy!
