Zelenskyy's urgent appeal as Congressional delay threatens Ukraine's resistance
"We lost six months. Ukraine cannot be a subject of inter-party disputes," declared Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a conversation with "The Washington Post." The President of Ukraine sharply criticized the months-long deadlock in Congress concerning further aid for Ukraine. "Without support from the USA, we will be forced to retreat, and if the front collapses, the Russians will advance on the big cities," Zelenskyy warned.

The President of Ukraine argued that if Ukraine is unable to launch a counteroffensive, then Putin's army will surely do so.
"The possibilities that Ukraine has on the front depend on the decisions of Congress. Without further aid from the USA, we will only be able to launch limited offensives. To push the Russians back, we need more weapons," emphasised Zelenskyy.
He stated that critics of further supporting Ukraine "do not understand the stakes of the war." "If Ukraine falls, Putin will divide the world into friends and foes of Russia," he warned.
Deadlock in Congress: Ukraine awaits aid from the USA
The passage of a new aid package by the American Congress is crucial for the United States to continue its support for Ukraine. Almost all aid was suspended at the end of last year, when the latest weapons package for Kyiv was announced.
Included in the proposal submitted by the White House in October was about £32 billion for military purposes—mainly to replenish resources depleted by sending weapons to Ukraine—and nearly £10 billion in financial aid.
