Zelensky condemns Trump rally attack: 'No place for violence'
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump during a campaign rally. Zelensky wished him a speedy recovery and emphasised that there is no place for such violence "anywhere in the world."

"I am horrified by the information about the shooting of former US President Donald Trump during his rally in Pennsylvania. Such violence is unjustifiable and has no place anywhere in the world. Violence should never prevail," the Ukrainian leader wrote on the platform X.
The President of Ukraine expressed his relief to hear that Donald Trump is now safe, and wished him a quick recovery. He also extended his condolences to the relatives of the rally participant who died in the attack.
"I wish strength to all who are horrified by this event. I wish America to come out of this stronger," the president emphasised.
Assassination attempt on Donald Trump
Former US President Donald Trump was shot in the ear on Saturday during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Two people died, including the assailant, and two others were seriously injured. The health condition of the Republican candidate is good.
Donald Trump was injured in the ear, fell to the ground, and was covered by Secret Service agents. The politician was taken to the hospital but was discharged shortly afterwards.
- There is no place in America for this kind of violence, it is sick. We must unite this country. We cannot allow something like this to happen. We cannot be like this. We cannot tolerate this. The idea that political violence occurs in America is unthinkable (...) Everyone- everyone must condemn it, commented Joe Biden on the incident.
Trump himself said that it is "unbelievable that something like this could happen in our country."
