Chocolate Banana Cake is a brilliant recipe for a delicious afternoon tea cake. The addition of bananas makes it perfectly sweet and moist. It is topped off with a quick chocolate frosting - the recipe for it is definitely worth remembering. Here, you don't have to worry about the cake being undercooked, as it always comes out perfect.
Chocolate Banana Cake
When this cake makes an appearance on the table, everyone is rubbing their hands together in anticipation. The recipe calls for a loaf pan, but I recommend preparing a double batch for a large baking sheet - this cake is irresistible.
As you can see from the recipe - it's definitely in frequent use. Fortunately, you don't have to decipher what's written on the paper, I've done it for you. It’s simple, quick, and without much mess. All you need to do is combine all the ingredients in a bowl and it's ready.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of wheat flour,
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder,
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda,
- half a stick of margarine,
- 1.5 cups of sugar,
- 2 eggs,
- 110 g of dessert chocolate,
- 1 cup of mashed bananas,
- half a cup of kefir.
Frosting
- 2 tablespoons of 18% cream,
- 1 tablespoon of margarine or butter,
- 3 teaspoons of powdered sugar,
- 4 teaspoons of dark cocoa,
- 3-4 squares of dark chocolate.
How to prepare:
- Melt the butter in a saucepan with the chocolate.
- In a bowl, pour in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar. Crack in the eggs, pour in the melted butter with chocolate, kefir, and add the mashed bananas.
- Mix or blend everything thoroughly and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Pour the mixture into a loaf pan and place in an oven preheated to 170 degrees Celsius. Bake for about 50-60 minutes.
- Combine all the ingredients for the frosting in a saucepan and heat until they blend together. Do not boil.
- Decorate the cake with the prepared frosting.
