The weather has been playing quite a few tricks lately. A significant part of our country is preparing for record rains. The Croatian Hydrometeorological Service (DHMZ) does not deliver good news either, having issued warnings for rain and thunderstorms for the country's entire coast. The worst weather is expected in Rijeka, Gospić, Knin, Split, and Dubrovnik regions.

Everyone looked in one direction

Recently, an interesting phenomenon was recorded off the coast of Croatia. Waterspouts appeared there. This extraordinary natural spectacle was observed, among other places, between Pelješac and Korčula. The characteristic funnel, rising above the water, could also be seen in Primošten and the village of Viganj.

- One formed and remained for about 15 minutes. It moved towards the islands and then disappeared somewhere on the horizon - said one of the observers, quoted by the Croatian portal 24sata.hr.

Internet users comment

"It looks spectacular", "The video is impressive, let alone seeing it live", "Wonderful", "It was amazing" - comment Internet users on social media. "It looked dangerous", "It was serious", "Amazing to see something like that, but I think I would run away" - other people write under the recordings.

A waterspout is a type of tornado that occurs over the surface of a body of water - an ocean, sea, or large lake. It takes the appearance of a narrow funnel, inverted cone, or column.
