Although doctors and dietitians agree that water is the most essential drink, we often choose other beverages that can be harmful to their health. Check which ones we should eliminate from our daily diet.

Although tasty and energy-boosting, coffee with various sweet additions, such as flavoured syrups, condensed milk, whipped cream, ice cream, or ready-made spice mixes with sugar, is not a healthy choice. Adding alcohol to coffee is also not recommended, as this combination harms the liver and pancreas. Coffee with additives is also a source of a significant number of calories, which can lead to overweight and obesity if consumed regularly. Consuming coffee in its basic form is the healthiest choice.

Do you like energy drinks? Be sure to eliminate them from your diet

Energy drinks should also be on the banned list. Although they help fight drowsiness, their impact on the liver is terrible. Studies show that excessive consumption can lead to diseases of the pancreas, intestines, and stomach. Overdosing is associated with serious side effects, such as blood pressure spikes, limb tremors, dizziness, and nausea. Energy drinks also contain an excessive amount of sugar, preservatives, and artificial colouring.

The following drinks to avoid are sugary carbonated drinks, which provide no nutritional value. Experts warn that one glass can contain even 140 grams of sugar. These drinks are also full of chemical additives that are harmful to health.

A slightly better alternative is "zero" sugar-free drinks, which are much less calorific. The best choice, however, is to replace these drinks with mineral or spring water.

Alcohol? Quit if you want to take care of your health

Alcohol should also disappear from our diet. This is no surprise as it is a very harmful drink. It is one of the strongest risk factors for many cancers, can lead to addiction and induce risky behaviours. On the blacklist, there should also be some fruit drinks and nectars – during production, they lose fibre and often gain large amounts of added sugar.
