Undying love: Wife sleeps next to husband's body for three years in Russian village

According to the Russian portal, the widow had kept her deceased husband's body, wrapped in a blanket, in their home for three years, sharing the same bed with him. The grim discovery in one of the villages in the Gatchina region was made by a juvenile inspector who wished to assess the living conditions of the four children residing there.

As per Russian media reports, the man, born in 1976, had had a dispute with his wife a few days prior to his demise. One day he collapsed on the floor and never rose again. However, his wife thought that her husband belonged not in a cemetery, but with his loved ones. She forbade her children from revealing the truth, threatening them with potential placement in an orphanage. It is known that the woman has undergone psychiatric treatment.

"Moskowskij Komsomolec" reports, citing the 78.ru service, that a cross of Anubis was identified near the deceased's feet on the bed. This Egyptian symbol, said to be the key to the realm of the dead, purportedly offers immortality and life. The woman possibly believed that her husband would soon be resurrected.
