The Ukrainian army successfully attacked a Russian ammunition depot. A video recording of the explosion was shared on social media.

The footage of the strike was published on Saturday. The Ukrainian side reported that soldiers of the 47th mechanized brigade located the Russian ammunition depot with the help of a drone.

The occupiers were spotted in time by Ukrainian scouts. The Russians were arranging ammunition boxes in one of the occupied houses.

"Soon, a Ukrainian drone flew over them. One hit - target destroyed," reports the 24tv.ua service, which describes the successful Ukrainian attack. It is not known where and when precisely the Ukrainian defenders eliminated the occupiers.

ISW alerts: Putin does not want a ceasefire

The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) wrote on Saturday about the current situation on the front in Ukraine. According to analysts, Vladimir Putin used his meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to express opposition to ceasefire negotiations and to emphasise the goal of "ultimate" end to the war, which would be the destruction of Ukrainian statehood.

Experts noted that there is a glaring contradiction between attempts to blame the West and Ukraine for the failure of negotiations and Putin's outright rejection of any ceasefire agreement.

Analysts emphasised that, according to Putin, any agreement between Russia and Ukraine should not result in a ceasefire because it would allow Ukraine to regroup and rearm. Instead, Russia advocates for a "total" and "final" end to the conflict. Putin, as consistently shown by his statements and demands, wants the destruction of Ukrainian statehood and identity. He demands both the cession of a significant portion of Ukraine's territory and population to Russian occupation and the capitulation of Ukrainian forces.
