During the night from Friday to Saturday (23 to 24 August), Ukrainian forces carried out a successful attack on Russia. Local media report that a Ukrainian Neptune cruise missile struck a Russian ammunition depot in Ostrogozhsk, Voronezh Oblast, causing an explosion and a nearby fire.

Before 1:00 AM Greenwich Time, Alexander Gusev, the governor of Voronezh Oblast, informed Telegram that air defence forces had destroyed several "kamikaze drones.
