"Alongside the Ukrainian Minister of Defense Rustem Umierov, I toured the foremost command posts of the military units in the war operation area," revealed Gen. Oleksandr Syrsky, the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces.

He shared that he had listened to the reports from commanders. "Our troops are frequently under attack by the enemy. The situation is complicated in several areas and needs constant surveillance", noted Syrsky.

One of the discussion points was how to protect the troops from drones and air strikes, along with fortifying the front lines.

"I reiterated to the commanders the importance of coordination and the effective operational interaction of all Defense Forces, and the protection of our defenders' lives. To bolster combat readiness, stability and troop management, I made several immediate decisions," reported the general.

Since the inception of a full-scale invasion two years ago, Russia has lost 410,000 soldiers in Ukraine, as declared by the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff on 25 February.

Syrsky and Umierov also honoured the soldiers battling on the front lines.
