Ukrainian air defence intercepts Russian missile and drone barrage
Last night, Ukrainian air defence successfully destroyed seven Russian missiles and 17 drones that targeted the eastern, southern, and central regions of Ukraine. This information was shared on Friday morning by the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, General Mykola Oleshchuk.

General Oleshchuk highlighted in his announcement that Russia used 14 missiles, launched from both the air and the ground, along with 17 unmanned aerial vehicles. The general shared this information on his social media profile.
What is Russia attacking with?
He also described the types of missiles and drones used by Russia. According to his account, the Russians launched 10 Kh-101 and Kh-55 cruise missiles from strategic aviation aircraft based in Russia's Saratov region.
Additionally, three ballistic missiles were fired from occupied Crimea and Russia's Krasnodar Krai. One Kinzhal missile was also launched from Russia's Tambov region. In the attack, 17 Iranian-made Shahed 131 and Shahed 136 drones, which took off from near Russia's Yeysk, were deployed.
General Oleshchuk further reported that during air battles in the Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions, 24 aerial targets were shot down. These included seven Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and 17 Shahed-131/136 assault drones.
Currently, there is no information on the impact of the Russian attacks involving the seven missiles that were not intercepted.
