Ukraine's daring strikes on Russian factories hit targets 1500km away
Ukrainian military intelligence launched attacks on Russian industrial sites in Yelabuga and Nizhnekamsk in Tatarstan using unconventional weaponry. These strikes represent the most distant operations by Ukrainian forces, with the targets being approximately 1500 kilometres from Ukraine.

Ukraine continues to carry out sabotage operations within Russian territory, following a sequence of effective strikes on vital infrastructure, particularly refineries. The furthest attacks from Ukraine's border happened on Tuesday, April 2, at Greenwich Time.
In the Russian region of Tatarstan, Ukrainian "drones" targeted the "Gyran-2" factory, where Russia produces drones similar to the Iranian Shahed, and a petrochemical plant in Nizhnekamsk - TASS agency reports, quoting the city's mayor, mention that defence systems intercepted this strike.
In footage from Yelabuga, a modified light aircraft (likely an A-22) can be seen targeting the Russian factory in a manner reminiscent of a kamikaze:
The precise number of casualties remains uncertain, with estimates suggesting up to 12 people were injured. The Tatarstan authorities reported about 7 injuries among the workforce. They also noted that the strike didn’t significantly disrupt the factory's operations.
