Earlier, Russian media reported that Ukrainian drones attacked the depot in the Yartsevo area. The Ukrainian General Staff confirmed these reports, emphasising the depot's significance for the Russian occupying army.
Reuters first reported the incident, noting that a Ukrainian drone attack on Tuesday caused a fuel leak and a fire at a fuel depot in Russia's Smolensk region, according to the region's governor, Vasily Anokhin.
