Ukraine pushes us for permission to strike Russian territory
According to reports by the "Wall Street Journal," Ukrainian authorities have approached the United States government for permission to use American weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation. American authorities are still considering the Ukrainian request - reports PAP, citing information provided on Friday by the "Wall Street Journal." "If permission is granted, it will mean a fundamental change in Washington's policy, which has long sought to limit the risk of military escalation between the US and Russia while supporting Ukraine," the article noted.
The journal recalled that Washington supplied Kyiv with artillery equipment, including the ATACMS ground-to-ground missile system. However, it was stipulated that it could not be used for attacks on Russian territory. The condition, which Ukraine agreed to, was meant to prevent the conflict from turning into a direct clash between the United States and Russia, explains the "WSJ."

Ukrainian media, including the UNIAN agency, reported earlier that Kyiv is pressuring the White House. In connection with this, a group of Ukrainian parliamentarians visited the USA.
"We see how the Russian military is one or two kilometers (less than a mile) from our border, and we can't do anything about it," said Oleksandra Ustinova, head of the parliamentary committee on weapons and ammunition of Ukraine, emphasizing the frustration of the Ukrainian army.
