Ukraine counters Russian missile claims amid Kherson tensions
The Russian Ministry of Defence has reported the shooting down of eight ATACMS missiles launched by Ukraine.
Many of the reports provided by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.
The reports of the Russian "success" have not been commented on by the Ukrainian side. The use of ATACMS missiles by Ukraine to attack targets located in Russia has previously been met with threats from Moscow.
The response to this was also supposed to be an attack on Ukraine using Oreszni missiles, which Russia launched towards Ukraine in November 2024.
Russian attacks on Kherson
According to Ukrainian authorities, Russians attacked Kherson on Saturday. As a result of the attack, a 65-year-old man was injured.
During the night, the Russians also attempted to attack Ukraine using Shahed drones. Ukrainian anti-aircraft forces destroyed 34 unmanned aerial vehicles.
