Ukraine bolsters defences as Russia intensifies Pokrovsk assault
The Ukrainian armed forces are vigorously defending Pokrovsk from Russian attacks, as reported by Oleksandr Syrsky.
The Ukrainian armed forces are taking all possible measures to prevent Pokrovsk from being captured by Russian troops. Oleksandr Syrsky, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, emphasised the determination to defend the city in an interview with military correspondent Andriy Tsaplienko. - The enemy is trying hard to grab (Pokrovsk - ed.), and we are doing everything to defend it, to prevent its capture - assured Syrsky, as quoted by the Ukrinform agency.
Russian forces in Pokrovsk
Syrsky pointed out that the Russian army is concentrating its best units in Pokrovsk. Some "prophets" predicted that we would lose Pokrovsk on 30 September 2024, but that did not happen. Then they spoke about 30 October. I just want to say that the opponent is concentrating their best troops there, added Syrsky. The Russians can rotate their forces, giving them an advantage in offensive operations.
According to Ukrinform, Syrsky shared his insights with members of the NATO Military Committee on the Russian army's potential plans and the steps the Armed Forces of Ukraine are taking to counter them.
