- "I've just enacted a decree that kick-starts the formation of a new branch in our armed forces - Unmanned Systems Forces. This isn't a matter of the future but something that must bring very tangible results in the immediate future," declared Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelensky, during his daily summary of activities.

The Ukrainian president went on to say that the current year should be significant on the war fronts with Russia.

- "Drones, or unmanned aerial systems, have shown their efficacy in land, air, and sea battles. Ukraine has significantly altered the security situation in the Black Sea due to drones. Repelling ground attacks is largely due to drones. Large scale destruction of occupiers and their equipment is also primarily thanks to drones," explained Zelensky.

The President of Ukraine outlined a series of tasks connected with the creation of the Unmanned Systems Forces. These include generating a specialised personnel to work with drones, effective training, systematising experiences, boosting production, and procuring the best ideas and experts in this field.

- "In the immediate future, the establishment of the Unmanned Systems Forces will be discussed at a meeting of the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council," Zelensky announced.
