A few days ago, the United Kingdom became the scene of demonstrations, with anti-immigrant riots spreading across the country.

Over 420 people have already been arrested, and videos of these events have quickly spread on social media. The disturbances in Middlesbrough saw masked participants stopping cars to question drivers about their ethnic backgrounds.

The Prime Minister has even convened a Cobra crisis meeting.

"The Sun" reports that the riots included attacks on mosques and hotels housing migrants, as well as incidents of arson and looting targeting shops run by ethnic minorities.

In Rotherham, a hotel occupied by asylum seekers was set on fire, injuring ten police officers who were trying to contain the riots.

Riots in the United Kingdom. It started with a murder

The unrest began when 17-year-old Axel Rudakubana - born in the United Kingdom but of Rwandan descent - stabbed three girls participating in a children's dance and yoga course and injured another 10 people.

The Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, and several other politicians strongly criticised the riots as "disgraceful" and a betrayal of the values on which the United Kingdom is built.

The parents of the victims also spoke out, condemning the violence. Although the media published false information about the accused's status as an asylum seeker, the police are still investigating, trying to determine the motives behind this tragic act.

British politicians unequivocally condemn the acts of violence and emphasise the need to protect democratic values and tolerance in the face of growing far-right agitation.
