On 14 July, the whole world was informed that Donald Trump was shot in the ear during an election rally in the town of Butler, Pennsylvania. The former US president narrowly escaped death at the hands of the assailant.

The shooter, who targeted Trump, missed. However, he hit three bystanders who were listening to the politician's speech. One died at the scene, and two are in critical condition. Secret Service agents shot the attacker dead moments after he fired the shots.

A few hours after these events, Donald Trump was photographed at Newark Liberty Airport. In a short video clip, the former president walks down the stairs to the Newark airport floor unassisted.

The former president arrived late in the evening from Pennsylvania at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. He was wearing a white shirt and had his jacket undone. It seems like the outfit he wore during the unfortunate election rally.

Trump's expression was serious, but he found a moment to wave at the camera while descending the stairs. His campaign team published the video showing the former president, who was walking unaided and in good health.

Strong and resilient. He will never stop fighting for America - wrote Margo Martin, Deputy Director of Communications for Donald Trump on platform X.

Several Secret Service agents accompanied Trump, and cars were waiting for him on the airport tarmac. According to the New York Times, Trump will spend the night in New Jersey.

The Republican National Convention will take place on Monday, July 15. It is unclear whether the shooting will alter Donald Trump's plans. Everything indicates that the campaign-leading Trump will attend the convention and accept the party's nomination for president.

Many observers indicate that after the assassination attempt, Trump's chances of winning the election have dramatically increased. Accepting the Republican party’s nomination seems a mere formality under these circumstances.
