The presidential election in the United States will take place on November 5, 2024. Incumbent President Joe Biden's opponent is Donald Trump. The two politicians clashed during a pre-election debate on Thursday, June 27.

The incumbent president was in poor shape. He made mistakes, got his voice caught, and lost his train of thought - which is why many voices emerged post-debate that the 81-year-old president is showing his age and should withdraw from the race. This stance was taken, among others, by "The New York Times".

Several days after the debate, Biden tried to explain his weaker performance through travels and changes in time zones. As he stated, he was so tired that he "almost fell asleep" during the discussion.

Biden's ratings, meanwhile, are falling. In a new survey by "The New York Times" and Sienna College, 49 percent of respondents identified as likely voters declared that they would vote for Trump. Support for Biden stands at 43 percent. This is the largest lead Trump has recorded over Biden in this survey since 2015.

2024 U.S. presidential election. Will Biden withdraw? Trump reveals who might replace him

Meanwhile, a recording has surfaced online in which Trump comments on recent events. The clip, published by thedailybeast.com, was recorded on a golf course. It is unclear where and when the recording of the former U.S. president was made—the portal mentioned reports that they received the recording from an informant. It is only known—from the context—that the material was recorded after the presidential debate.

In the recording, Trump vulgarly insults the U.S. president, calling him "old, broken down pile of cr*p". He also states that Biden will not handle such a "fierce person" and "tough guy" as Chinese President Xi Jinping. He also mentions Vladimir Putin. - Can you imagine [Biden] with dealing with Putin? - Trump asks.

The Republican candidate is sure that Biden will withdraw from the race. And he points out who will replace him.

I got him out the race, and that means we have Kamala. I think she's going to be better - he predicts.

He refers to Kamala Harris, the current Vice President of the USA. According to Trump, Harris will ultimately run for the Democratic Party in the November election. In the recording, Trump says that Harris is "pathetic" but will still do better in the election than Biden.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden insists that despite the pressure, he will not withdraw his candidacy. - Let me say this as clearly as I possibly can as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running … no one’s pushing me out. I’m not leaving. I’m in this race to the end and we’re going to win" - he stated on Wednesday.
