Trump and Harris neck-and-neck as polls show tight race
According to CNN polls conducted in seven key states, Kamala Harris is leading in four, while Donald Trump is ahead in two. In Pennsylvania, both candidates enjoy equal support. However, other polls suggest a slight advantage for Trump ahead of the presidential elections in the USA.
The two latest CNN polls, considering the key southern states of the USA, show minimal differences between Georgia and North Carolina.
In Georgia, which has 16 electoral votes, Trump has a one-percentage-point lead (48-47), while in North Carolina (also 16 votes), the situation is reversed. In both states, the difference is within the margin of statistical error.
The situation in the other five states analysed by the SSRS centre for CNN is similar, although Harris has more of an advantage in Michigan (15 electoral votes) and Wisconsin (11). Her lead is 5 and 6 percentage points, respectively. In Pennsylvania (19 votes), there's a tie. In Arizona (11 votes), Harris is leading by 1 percentage point, while in Nevada (6 votes), Trump is ahead by one point.
If the trends shown by the CNN polls reflected reality, Harris would win the presidency regardless of the result in Pennsylvania.
U.S. elections. Polls are not conclusive
However, other studies published in the last 24 hours show a different picture, with Trump having an advantage.
AtlasIntel, a firm known for its right-leaning bias, claims that Trump leads in Arizona by 4 percentage points and has a slight 1 percentage point lead nationwide.
Fox News polls also indicate a one-point lead for Trump in Pennsylvania and North Carolina and a tie in Michigan. Studies from Monmouth and Quinnipiac universities also confirm a slight advantage for Trump in this state.
If these results were confirmed, Donald Trump would likely regain the presidency.
