A waterspout sank a yacht belonging to Michael Lynch. Searches are still underway for the businessman, his daughter, and four others. Barely a few dozen hours earlier, a tragic car accident occurred, resulting in the death of his associate.

An elite party held overnight from Sunday to Monday in the Sicilian region was tragically eventful. Just before dawn, the area was hit by a dangerous storm. Weather conditions changed rapidly, which unfortunately led to an unimaginable tragedy. Within a few moments, a tornado swept away the yacht belonging to technology magnate Michael Lynch. There were 22 people on board. The fate of six of them remains unknown.

Media have officially confirmed that the ship's chef died as a result of the encounter with the elements. The list of officially missing includes, among others, the president of an American bank, Jonathan Bloomer, with his wife Judy, and lawyer Chris Morvillo, who represented Lynch's interests. The millionaire, often called the "British Bill Gates," along with his 18-year-old daughter Hannah, have also not been found so far.

The holder of a £370-million fortune lost a close one

Inviting fellow associates and other entrepreneurs with whom Lynch conducted business was dictated by the beginning of his "second life." The 59-year-old was celebrating being cleared of fraud charges involving more than £9.1 billion after allegedly overstating the value of his IT firm, Autonomy, which he sold to HP in 2011.

His business partner, Stephen Chamberlain, was also in the dock. The man was also acquitted and spent the past weekend at a running event in Cambridge. Unfortunately, during the event, he was fatally hit by a car. He died after being taken to the hospital.
