Tourist detained after assaulting Winnie the Pooh at Shanghai Disneyland
A remarkable incident took place at the Disneyland amusement park in Shanghai. A tourist physically assaulted an actor dressed as Winnie the Pooh, prompting an immediate response from park staff.

Footage posted online shows a tourist in a striped shirt striking the head of a park employee dressed as Winnie the Pooh. The blow was forceful enough to knock the actor to the ground.

The video also captures park employees and visitors surrounding the victim to assist him. An actor dressed as Piglet also came to help. Together, they helped their colleague get to his feet and escorted Winnie the Pooh away, who was visibly holding his head.
Disneyland personnel reacted swiftly to the incident. The man was restrained by employees and other visitors who refused to condone his behaviour.
The management of the amusement park in Shanghai also addressed the situation, reassuring the public that the Winnie the Pooh costume actor was not seriously hurt. Authorities also stated that the offender would face repercussions. The reason for the tourist's aggression remains unknown.
The park management also stressed that they do not intend to alter the policy concerning interactions between characters and guests. Close encounters with beloved fairy tale characters are a key element of a Disneyland visit, and according to Disneyland's management, there is no justification for ending such interactions.
