It was long known that Toni Kroos's last season would be in 2023/24. After winning the Spanish championship and the Champions League with Real Madrid, the German decided to participate in Euro 2024.

Kroos ended his international career after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar but ultimately agreed to participate in one more major tournament. Unfortunately, it didn't go as planned for his team, as Germany was knocked out in the quarter-finals by Spain on home soil, losing in extra time.

Some fans hoped the 34-year-old would change his mind again, but nothing like that happened. After the European Championship, he posted on social media, definitively ending his football journey.

The legendary player quickly showed that he won’t be bored in his football retirement. A picture of him in a completely new role has spread across the internet.

Kroos decided to visit his football academy in Germany. There, he served ice cream to his charges. One can expect that he surprised the youth with this gesture.

It remains unclear at the moment what plans the retired player has. After all, his retirement shocked many people.
