The ceasefire, facilitating the hostages' release, is expected to commence on Sunday. The agreements anticipate the release of the initial three hostages held by Hamas.

They are to be released on Sunday, as reported by the Times of Israel, referencing Channel 12 news. The release of the hostages is part of an agreement involving the total liberation of 33 people. Negotiations on this topic have been ongoing for weeks.

The Israeli authorities cautioned from the beginning that they would not commit to a complete cessation of the conflict. The fight against Hamas is to resume once the truce ends. The Palestinian group insists that any potential agreement relies on the total withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip and a lasting ceasefire.

According to media sources, Israel has submitted a list of 34 living hostages that it demands be released in the initial phase of any potential ceasefire agreement. Hamas agreed to release older, sick women but refused to release younger men listed by Israel, as they might be active soldiers.

Besides the three women gaining freedom on Sunday, the list of those to be released includes 10 women and children, including two brothers aged roughly one year and four years.

The process of releasing hostages will span six weeks, during which additional groups will be freed each week. In the final week, 14 hostages will regain their freedom.
