Dramatic moments in London. Thieves entered the local market and looted goods with impunity. However, the employees decided to defend their workplace and fought against the criminals. One of the men fell under a car while trying to escape. Customers recorded the entire incident at Tesco.

The "Daily Mail" describes the story from the Wanstead neighbourhood in London. Two thieves entered the crowded store and started stealing alcohol and tobacco. Both were dressed in black with hoods on their heads.

A two-minute film shows the true heroism of the store employees. The first thief left the market without any obstacles, but the second had serious trouble. One of the customers decided to block the room with alcohol, where the thief was. Eventually, the man freed himself.

During this time, a security guard closed the automatic doors. Another customer snatched the bag from the thief. The recording also shows a scuffle between the thief and several people. Finally, he freed himself and escaped. You can also hear a customer's voice saying that the thief fell under the wheels of a car.

When the recording moves outside, the thief is not visible. You can see people running away in the distance. "Daily Mail" claims that London paramedics did not send any medical team to the injured man.

Crime and theft numbers are increasing

According to the "Daily Mail", a record number of thefts were reported in the British Isles last year.

In the year up to December 2023, the police recorded a total of 430,100 offences, an increase of 37% compared to the previous year, which had 315,000 offences. Retail store managers accuse the government of decriminalising theft. Officers are not reacting to reports, and in cases they do, they do not bring the matter to a satisfactory conclusion.
