Theft spree at German Baltic resorts: Police seek witnesses
Tourists holidaying in German resorts by the Baltic Sea struggle to sleep peacefully. In Ahrenshoop and Dierhagen, a series of audacious thefts and break-ins at holiday homes has occurred. The police are seeking witnesses to the crimes.
Local German media is reporting the case. A burglar is known to be prowling along the Baltic coast in Germany. The police confirm that over the past few weeks, there have been at least seven instances of audacious theft and several break-ins at holiday resorts.
These cases of holiday theft were noted in Ahrenshoop and Dierhagen, popular German Baltic Sea resorts. In Dierhagen, a woman lost her wallet. The thief entered the resort premises, pretending to look for a key. When the 60-year-old tried to help, she was robbed.
In similar circumstances, a backpack with documents and money disappeared. Electric bicycles and elements of a photovoltaic installation were also stolen. Since mid-July, many instances of theft have been noted, all connected by a similar modus operandi.
German police identify suspects and ask for witnesses
Police officers from Ahrenshoop and Dierhagen are appealing to all individuals who might have witnessed the thefts or seen suspicious individuals. Based on current information, officers have prepared descriptions of the potential criminals.
The first suspect may be about 60 years old. The man was tall and strong. He was dressed in a red jacket and a white shirt. The second thief being sought is between 30 and 50, with short dark hair and a plump figure. He wore a blue jacket, a t-shirt, and dark trousers during the theft.
