Sydney Sweeney's stunning metamorphosis lights up the MET Gala 2024
In a blue ball gown adorned with little flowers, she looked every bit the princess. Hence, she fit right into the theme of the MET Gala 2024. However, it wasn't Sydney Sweeney's outfit that caused the biggest sensation, but her hairstyle. The actress swapped her blond locks for a jet-black bob.

This year's MET Gala, the most important celebration in the fashion world, took place on May 6. Guests invited by Anna Wintour were required to adhere to a dress code entitled "The Garden in Time", directly related to the exhibition "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" opened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York.
There was no shortage of airy fabrics, ubiquitous plant motifs, and a hint of fairy-tale charm on the famous stairs. Among those dazzling on the beige-green carpet was Sydney Sweeney. It was her third invitation to the MET Gala. After all, her career has significantly accelerated since "Euphoria", and the outfits she chooses often knock people off their feet.
A painted princess
It was somewhat reminiscent of Ariana Grande's tulle outfit at the Grammys 2020 and a bit of a Cinderella-style, in which Zendaya appeared at the MET Gala in 2019. And it was all because Sydney Sweeney also opted for a ball gown cut with a corset top, sleeves light as a breath of wind, and an impressive, flared and sprawling bottom.
The young actress chose a creation by Miu Miu, in which white, blue, and turquoise intertwined with each other, creating an effect of extraordinary lightness. However, the dress attracted attention mainly because of three-dimensional applications in the form of small flowers.
Did Sydney Sweeney change her hairstyle specifically for the MET Gala?
Sydney Sweeney wouldn't be herself without a bit of contrariness. She complemented the fairy-tale gown with long, leather gloves. But that's not the end. The star, known for her blond curls, decided to shock with a rebellious, jet-black bob with a wayward fringe. A real transformation or maybe a wig?
