Although initially the staff were celebrating at the palace, after the official part, a group of about 50 people moved to the All One bar on Victoria Street.
It was there that an incident involving an alleged palace maid occurred. According to a source for "The Sun," the woman began smashing glasses and attacking bar staff, which forced them to call the police.

The police confirmed that they received a report. When the officers arrived at the scene, they arrested a 24-year-old woman on charges of assault, property damage, and public disorder. The woman received a fine. She was released from arrest the next day.
At 21.21hrs on Tuesday, December 10 officers were called to a bar in Victoria Street, SW1, following reports that a customer had smashed glasses and attempted to assault a member of staff. Officers attended and arrested a 24-year-old woman on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and being drunk and disorderly. She was taken into custody and released the following evening having been given a penalty notice for disorder – a spokesperson for the Met Police informed.
Buckingham Palace announces radical steps
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson confirmed that the incident took place outside the workplace and announced a thorough investigation. He emphasised that although it was an informal gathering, appropriate disciplinary actions would be taken.
We are aware of an incident outside the workplace involving a number of Household staff who had previously attended an early evening reception at the Palace. While this was an informal social gathering, not an official Palace Christmas party, the facts will be fully investigated, with a robust disciplinary process followed in relation to individual staff and appropriate action taken - stated a Buckingham Palace spokesperson, quoted by "The Sun".
