Spain waits as England and The Netherlands battle for final spot
In the Euro 2024 final, Spain has been waiting since Tuesday. On Wednesday, it will be decided whether their opponent in the tournament's last match will be England or the Netherlands. Only two matches remain until the end of Euro 2024. Spain was the first team to secure a ticket to the final in Berlin. Their 2-1 victory over France was their sixth consecutive win in the tournament. Spain is just one hurdle from lifting the trophy and leading the European Championship medal table. Their opponent will either be the Netherlands or England.
The second semi-final will pit Gareth Southgate's fifth-ranked team against the seventh-ranked Oranje. The teams are also close in the all-time European Championship table. Sixth-placed England leads seventh-placed Netherlands by four points.
In an interview with "Super Express", Jerzy Dudek indicated the team he would prefer to see in the big final.
Looking at how Dutch fans enjoy themselves, I would rather see them in the stands in the final in Berlin - emphasises the former goalkeeper of Liverpool, among others.
Will England's star stop the Netherlands?
The Netherlands, like England, are gaining momentum and confidence with each match. "Oranje" will, however, have to stop Jude Bellingham, the best player of the islanders.
I get the impression that Bellingham is trying to rescue England, but will he lead them to the final? Perhaps Harry Kane, with his intuition, will help him. But we know about the curse that lingers over him, not having won a major trophy. Nonetheless, he's another player who can make a difference - adds Dudek.
The Netherlands-England match will determine the second finalist of Euro 2024. Experts are divided on who will win. The game starts on Wednesday at 20:00.
