Sophie Turner opens up on life and love post-divorce in Vogue interview
The sudden divorce of the "X-Men" star was a huge surprise for many Sophie and Joe Jonas fans. Photos of the partying actress quickly began circulating online. Eventually, Turner decided to give an interview and discuss what she went through.
In September 2023, news broke that Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas were divorcing. At that time, it was said that Joe had decided to take this severe step and that he was the one pushing for divorce. The stars' Instagram profiles featured a statement:

She admitted that after the news of her marriage ending broke in the media, she experienced some of the worst days of her life and, at times, wondered if she would survive them.
- There were some days that I didn’t know if I was going to make it. I would call my lawyer saying, ‘I can’t do this. I just can’t.’ I was just never strong enough to stand up for myself. And then, finally, after two weeks of me being in a rut, she reminded me that it was my children I was fighting for," admits Turner, the mother of two girls, 4-year-old Willa and 1-year-old Delphine.
Remember that the same day the news about Turner and Jonas's divorce appeared, there was information that the musician had observed "suspicious behaviour" of his wife on a surveillance recording in their home. Photos circulated in the media of Sophie having a good time with friends. Now she says that when the divorce news leaked, she had two weeks booked on the set of a new production and couldn’t return to her children. It felt like I was watching a movie of my life that I hadn’t written, hadn’t produced, or starred in. It was shocking. I’m still in shock - comments Turner.
In the interview for Vogue, the actress emphasized that Joe Jonas is a good father and that she has nothing bad to say about him. Remember that the couple battled for custody of their children since Turner is from the United Kingdom and wants to live there, and Joe Jonas is an American. "Now that I’m back home, I’m actually the happiest I’ve been in a really long time. I’m starting over again, rediscovering what I like to do, who I like to be with", says Sophie.
She also added that she is in the dating stage, which she hadn't experienced before.
