Shock and injury as ship collides with Naples quay
The Ansa agency reported that a passenger ship collided with a quay at the port of Naples. Several hundred passengers were on board at the time, some of whom sustained injuries.

Accident in Naples
At the time of the accident, the ship carried several hundred passengers, including many foreign tourists. As the vessel neared Molo Beverello's port in Naples, most passengers were standing. The sudden impact of the quay caused a shock, making them fall and tumble over each other. According to reports from the Ansa agency, about 30 people were injured, with one reported to be in critical condition by Europapress. Medical rescuers were dispatched to the scene immediately.
The sea conditions were challenging from the start of the journey from Capri, which was marked by high waves and strong winds.
Additionally, images of the damaged ship were circulated on social media. "A gust of wind or a mechanical failure are the initial theories being considered for this morning's incident," reported La Citta News on the "X" platform.
