The Israeli army continues its operation in the Gaza Strip. On Thursday, a school in the area was shelled. Israel argues that Hamas terrorists were hiding in the facility. At least 15 people were killed and 29 injured.

The Israeli side also assures that before the air raid, the army did everything possible to ensure that no civilians in the Gaza Strip would be among the victims. However, they did not provide details.
"Before the strike, a number of steps were taken to reduce the risk of harming uninvolved civilians during the strike," emphasised the Israeli military in a statement.
The army once again accused Hamas of deliberately using civilian infrastructure for its purposes.
War in Israel. Massive number of casualties
The longstanding conflict between the Palestinian Hamas and Israel entered a new phase in the autumn of 2023 when Hamas carried out a terrorist attack on Israel. It killed 1,200 people, and 251 were kidnapped. 111 hostages are still in captivity.
In response, Israel began bombing the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, later starting a ground operation. According to the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Ministry of Health, over 43,500 Palestinians have already been killed in actions by the Israeli army. In the ground offensive in the Gaza Strip, 331 Israeli soldiers were also killed.
At the same time, the conflict with the Lebanese Hezbollah continues, which Israel accuses of the attack on the town of Majdal Shams in the Israel-controlled Golan Heights on Saturday, where 12 children and teenagers were killed.
The situation in the Middle East is the most tense in months. On Tuesday, the military leader of Hezbollah was killed in an Israeli attack on Beirut. On Wednesday, the political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, was killed in an attack attributed to Israel in Tehran. Leaders of Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas have already vowed revenge.
