Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Ryabkov is in the hospital - reports the Russian independent newspaper "Kommersant", citing its own sources. The channel Baza on Telegram informed that the 63-year-old deputy minister was taken to the hospital on 17 March with a heart attack, and his condition is assessed as serious. Information about the reason for hospitalization and health status is not confirmed by "Kommersant" sources.
The politician denies. "I feel good"
Informants of the independent newspaper relayed that the information circulating on Telegram concerning the diplomat's critical condition is "exaggerated." Ryabkov partially denied the Reports. The politician told the Russian state agency RIA Novosti that he feels good.
- I feel good, and I wish the same for you - said the diplomat, quoted by Gaztea.ru. The Russian website reports that the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasised that he does not comment on private matters related to marital status, being on leave or medical leave.
Sergei Ryabkov has been the Deputy Head of the Russian MFA since August 2008, reports RBC. Earlier, he headed the OSCE section in the Department of Pan-European Cooperation and worked at the Embassy of Russia in the United States, among other places.
