Scrambled eggs are one of many people's favourite breakfasts. Simple to prepare, filling, and full of protein – there is no doubt that it is the perfect meal to start the day. Although there are numerous recipes for scrambled eggs, few know that you can add an ingredient to this classic dish that improves its taste and positively impacts your health. This ingredient is turmeric, a spice with powerful health properties that can support weight loss, including reducing belly fat. By incorporating it into your scrambled eggs, you will add an exotic flavour and speed up your metabolism.

Turmeric – Indian saffron for a flat stomach

Ordinary scrambled eggs can become a real vitamin and mineral bomb if we enrich them with turmeric. This golden root, also known as Indian saffron, has been used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for centuries. The curcumin it contains has remarkable anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer properties.

Why is turmeric so good for our health?

  • It speeds up metabolism: Curcumin helps the body burn fat more efficiently, leading to faster weight loss and a flatter stomach.
  • Reduces inflammation: Chronic inflammation is one of the main factors contributing to the development of many diseases, including obesity. Curcumin helps reduce it, thereby supporting the immune system.
  • Regulates blood sugar levels: This prevents sugar spikes that lead to fat accumulation, especially around the belly.
  • Protects the liver: The liver is our natural filter, cleansing the body of toxins. Curcumin helps it perform this function and protects it from damage.

How to prepare scrambled eggs with turmeric

Preparing scrambled eggs with turmeric is very simple. Add this spice to a heated pan with butter or oil, then crack the eggs. Add chopped onions, peppers, or other favourite vegetables to enrich the flavour.

Remember to add a bit of black pepper to the scrambled eggs for better absorption of curcumin. Piperine, contained in pepper, increases curcumin's bioavailability, so our body can utilise its properties even more effectively.
