There are concerns that Russia may soon attack another European country. It is no secret that Vladimir Putin will aim to destabilise the situation in Chișinău to influence the outcome of the presidential elections in Moldova in the autumn of 2024. A troubling post appeared on social media on the General SVR profile.

Russian authorities accuse Moldova of "politically motivated persecution of Russian and Russian-speaking media" and "instances of discrimination against Russian citizens entering Moldova." The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also threatened that if such actions continue, "the Russian side reserves the right to take retaliatory measures."

The ministry also claimed that Moldova is likely planning to assist NATO in training Ukrainian forces on its territory. They assess that if this were confirmed, it would be equivalent to its direct involvement in military actions on Ukraine's side.

We will do everything to prevent this, including our plan for European integration. First and foremost, this is a plan to ensure security, since the EU is a peace project - said Moldovan President Maia Sandu in May.

As reminded by "Super Express," in mid-June, the USA, the UK, and Canada warned in a statement published on the US State Department's website that Russia would want to destabilise the situation in Chișinău to influence the outcome of the presidential elections in Moldova in the autumn of 2024.

Russia's dangerous plan regarding Moldova

Now, the mysterious profile on social media, General SVR, conveyed bad news for Moldova.

Russian President Nikolai Patrushev's advisor held an online meeting with representatives of the security bloc leadership. The topic of the meeting was a report on preparing a hybrid special operation in Moldova.

The main purpose of the hybrid special operation called the "Russian turn" is the coming to power in Moldova of forces that are under the direct influence of the current Russian leadership - it is stated.

The part of the opposition-controlled by the Russian authorities in Moldova will immediately organise protest meetings in Chișinău (the capital of Moldova), where saboteurs will also seek to cause massive turmoil, and it is not ruled out that there could be casualties.

At the same time, the activities of the special services and law enforcement agencies in the capital of Moldova will be blocked by employees "sympathetic to the #Kremlin regime."
