The 'Road to Home' (Russian: Put Domoi) movement orchestrates flower-laying ceremonies at these monuments every Saturday. Their primary demand is for the rotation of troops invading Ukraine and for their husbands to return from the front lines.

The recent rally took place at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexandrovsky Garden in Moscow the previous Saturday. Video evidence suggests that the police arrested a minimum of three individuals - one activist and two journalists.

Simultaneously, during a parallel event in Yekaterinburg, five individuals were arrested. They were subsequently charged with participation in an unlawful gathering.

Arrests on 3 February

The previous Saturday marked the 500th day since the announcement of Russia's partial mobilisation. Road to Home, to mark this occasion, called for the first time for rallies. As reported by the independent Russian service Mediazona, 27 individuals were detained in Moscow alone on this day, primarily journalists and human rights activists.
