As reported by analysts from DeepState, the Russians have begun an assault in the Kursk region. They are moving armoured vehicles across the Seim River and other smaller rivers in the area.

Analysts also recorded the movement of a Russian armoured column from Korenewo towards Snagost, with active combat operations there.

Ukrainians blew up strategic bridges

The Russians were not deterred by the actions of the Ukrainians, who blew up strategic bridges in the border Kursk region. As early as Sunday, there were reports of damage to a bridge in the village of Karyzh over the Seim River.

"The damage was quite significant. Over time, we will see how critical the consequences are," reported DeepState. It is uncertain whether the bridge was effectively damaged, as it was added that the bridge is quite "resilient" and after the previous strike, the Russians were still able to drive over it.

"The offensive is producing results"

On Thursday, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that Kiev's offensive in the Kursk region of Russia is yielding results.

According to Syrskyi, Russia planned to start a new offensive against Ukraine from the Kursk region even before Ukrainian forces launched operations in the area.

"This reduced the threat of an enemy offensive. We prevented them from acting. We moved the fighting to the enemy’s territory so that he could feel what we feel every day. And we created our own security zone in the Kursk region," he said in an interview with CNN.

He noted that the offensive in the Kursk region "was a factor that significantly improved the morale of not only the military but the entire Ukrainian population." He added that the Ukrainian army observed a decrease in shelling and the intensity of fighting in eastern Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday at 14:00 GMT that Russian forces are already starting to push Ukrainian soldiers out of there.
