Recently, it was also reported that the village of Krynky, located in the Kherson region, has fallen into Russian hands. The occupiers shelled Ukrainian positions, causing the soldiers to retreat and leading to significant destruction. Experts indicated that the losses on the Ukrainian side could have been up to 1,000 people.
The Russians took Krynky on the first day of the invasion, 24th February 2022. However, in October 2023, Ukrainian forces established a foothold in Krynky. Since then, Russia has been constantly trying to drive the Ukrainian soldiers out.
Meanwhile, the propaganda outlet Ria Novosti, also citing defence ministry reports, reported that units of the "West" Military Grouping occupied the two settlements.
At this moment, Ukraine has not commented on the reports provided by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
