"According to the information received by the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, the J. Biden administration is assigning American NGOs the task of lowering the turnout [of the presidential elections in Russia]" – the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) conveyed.

Many reports by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. These reports are part of the information war waged by the Russian Federation.

"With the involvement of leading American IT specialists, cyber-attacks on the remote electronic voting system are planned, which will prevent the counting of a significant portion of the Russian voters' votes" – the SVR reported. However, no evidence was provided to substantiate these claims.

Putin fears about the turnout; Russians don't want to vote

The presidential elections in Russia are scheduled for March 17. The Russian authorities do not care who wins. However, the problem is the turnout, which may be the lowest in history.

Meduza reports that, according to sources close to Putin's administration, Russians show "little interest" in this year's elections. To counteract this phenomenon and ensure the desired electoral turnout of 70–80 percent, Kremlin officials plan to utilize electronic voting terminals and QR codes.
