Although the recipe for rice paper croissants is simple and quick, it's worth remembering that the taste of such a croissant will be significantly different from the traditional one. Rice paper gives the dish a slightly different texture and taste. Ingredients:
- 2 eggs,
- 80 ml of milk,
- 2 tablespoons of sugar,
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
- 1 tablespoon of melted butter,
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon,
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder,
- 6 sheets of rice paper,
- sugar for sprinkling.
Instructions:
Step 1. Crack the eggs into a deep plate, add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Add the cinnamon, baking powder, and sugar, and mix.
Step 2. Dip the sheets of rice paper into the mixture on both sides. Lay them out three at a time and cut them into three triangles.
Step 3. Stack them as shown in the video or in the photo below and roll them to form a croissant.
Step 4. Place the croissants on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with sugar and almonds, and place in an oven preheated to 175°C for 25 minutes. The ready croissants can be served with jam or chocolate. Enjoy!
