Not many people realise how many applications aluminium foil has. Although we usually use it in the kitchen, it is also perfect for many other situations, including when the remote control refuses to cooperate. Check out this trick that will save you a lot of frustration.

Not everyone knows that aluminium foil can reflect and absorb radio waves and conduct electricity. This property can be very useful when the batteries in our remote are depleted.

We commonly use the "thicker" AA batteries for most remote controls. The worst is when they are depleted, and we do not have new ones. It turns out that thanks to aluminium foil, it's a breeze to insert the thinner AAA batteries, and it will work. How to do it?

This simple trick will make the remote work again

First, remove the depleted batteries from the remote. Then, tear off a small piece of aluminium foil and fold it so that it fits in the gap between the batteries. Then, place the foil in the battery compartment on the side of the springs.

Make sure that the foil touches the metal conduits in the remote. Then, insert the batteries into the remote. And done! The remote should work without any reservations. Now, we can once again enjoy watching our favourite TV programmes.

Thanks to this trick, we can replace an AA battery with a smaller AAA battery. This solution is perfect until the next visit to the store, and we won't have to frustrate ourselves unnecessarily.
