A healthy dinner with a twist will be a welcomed change in any household. Plus, it's a joy to prepare
Ingredients:
- 600g turkey breast,
- 80ml of olive oil,
- 1 tablespoon of dried oregano,
- 1 tablespoon of dried thyme,
- 1 tablespoon of dried marjoram,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- A pinch of pepper,
- 10 slices of yellow cheese,
- 10 slices of bacon.
Preparation method:
Step 1. Begin the recipe by readying the turkey breast. Firstly, cleanse and dry the meat, then place it on a chopping board and make a few horizontal incisions along its entire length. This creates some tiny pockets to stash tasty tidbits within.
Step 2. Next, take a slice of yellow cheese. Place a slice of bacon on top and fold the assembly in half. Tuck this yummy combination into the pocket you prepared earlier.
Step 3. At this point, you're not done just yet. The recipe still requires a marinade. To whip it up, combine the following in a small bowl: olive oil, oregano, marjoram, thyme, peeled and crushed garlic cloves, salt, and pepper. Stir the ingredients thoroughly until they blend well to form the perfect flavour mix.
Step 4. Spread the resulting mixture over the turkey meat and its fillings. Only after this, pop the meat in the oven for 20-25 minutes. Make sure the oven's set at 190 degrees Celsius for this duration.
Step 5. While the turkey is cooking, prepare side dishes for the dinner. I highly suggest serving the turkey breast with a colourful salad. You can also pair the meat with potatoes, rice, or grains. It's up to you, so pick what appeals to you most. Bon appétit!
