Stuffed mushrooms offer a delightful alternative to the usual sandwiches. They're suitable for dinner and also great for parties and catching up with friends.
Stuffed mushrooms with ground meat
Stuffed mushrooms with ground meat are a traditional favorite bound to please the whole family. They're easy to make, wonderfully fragrant, and satisfying. Ideal for both lunch and dinner.
You can jazz up the filling with additional ingredients like chopped bell peppers or corn, tailoring the flavors to your liking. I suggest sprinkling in some Herbes de Provence and sweet and hot paprika for that extra zing.
Ingredients:
- 500g large mushrooms,
- 300g ground meat (pork or beef),
- 1 onion,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 1 egg,
- 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs,
- 3 tablespoons of parsley,
- salt and pepper to taste,
- yellow cheese,
- oil for frying.
Preparation:
- Rinse the mushrooms thoroughly and remove the stems. Small mushrooms can be stuffed whole, and larger ones can be halved.
- Finely chop the onion and gently fry in oil in a pan. Add the garlic, minced, and fry for a brief moment.
- Introduce the ground meat to the pan with the onion, seasoning with salt and pepper as desired. Cook until the meat turns brown.
- Mix in the chopped parsley, breadcrumbs, and egg with the meat. Combine thoroughly.
- Stuff the mushroom caps with the meat blend.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms in an ovenproof dish.
- Top with grated yellow cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the meat mixture is nicely browned.
Enjoy the mushrooms while they're hot. Bon appétit!
