"True" Martha from "Baby Reindeer" has just come out of hiding and given her first interview. It fell to Piers Morgan, who directly threw questions at her about whether she was a psychopathic stalker. Even before the episode premiered, the woman attacked the famous journalist, claiming that he had used her.
"Baby Reindeer" gained popularity on Netflix after it was discovered that the creator and main star of the series, comedian Richard Gadd, was actually stalked. For a couple of years, the comedian was harassed with 41,071 emails, about 350 hours of voice messages, 744 tweets, 46 Facebook messages, and 106 pages of letters. Driven by obsessive love and imagination, the stalker would become angry, harass the man's relatives, and insult his former partners.
The production became a natural sensation, and internet "detectives" immediately began intensive searches for Martha's true identity. They quickly discovered that the woman who inspired the Scot to create the series was Fiona Harvey, a law graduate from Fyvie in Aberdeenshire.

The TV series "Martha" has decided to share her story version. For this purpose, she accepted an invitation from controversial journalist Piers Morgan, who cleverly chose to boost his viewership at her expense. The press release announced that "the woman who inspired the television phenomenon of the year breaks the silence during the world premiere of 'Piers Morgan Uncensored'." Even before the episode debuted on YouTube at 8 PM Greenwich Time, a brief clip was released online. One can see the woman under a barrage of questions from the famously uncompromising host.
Firstly, why did you decide to publicize your activities? When did you know you would be featured in the series? Have you ever been in prison? - asks Piers.
I am a victim. He wrote a damn series about me - the distressed woman responds.
In the released interview clip, Morgan asked Harvey what she thought about Richard Gadd, whether she thought he was mentally ill, and whether she had ever been to his home. He claimed he didn't know the truth — but she did. Morgan asked Fiona Harvey to look into the camera lens... at the people who still didn't believe you; what would she have told them?
However, even before the controversial interview with Morgan was aired, Fiona had already gone on the offensive. In a conversation with the Daily Record, the 48-year-old shared her impressions of meeting with the famous presenter in front of cameras. The Scotswoman is "not happy" with how the interview went and has the irrepressible feeling that her interlocutor wants to trap her. Describing the 30-minute interview as a "sparring match," the alleged stalker accused Morgan of trying to knock her off track with his questions.
Piers kept saying to me 'are you sure you haven't sent this guy 41,000 emails and phone calls?'. A lot of the interview, for a good 10 minutes, he kept coming back to this – she revealed to Daily Record. I said: ‘Look, Even if I had sent some emails, it doesn’t mean I’m guilty of the rest of the stuff. As I said, in order to bill something as a true story, it’s got to be pretty much 100% true. It seemed to me that I was set up. I feel a bit used.
