According to the German Friedrich Naumann Foundation, even the most conservative estimates suggest that the value of arms deliveries from North Korea to Russia exceeds £1.2 billion, as reported by NEXTA.
The report notes that it is impossible to precisely estimate the volume of arms delivered from North Korea to Russia because Pyongyang conceals its export data. South Korean security services depend on satellite images and monitoring of maritime routes.
Russia strengthens military cooperation with North Korea
The United States and South Korea disclosed that in October, at least 3,000 soldiers were moved from North Korea to Russia. By the year's end, Pyongyang intends to send 10,000 troops there. On Thursday, Japanese and Ukrainian media reported that about 2,000 North Korean soldiers, who had completed training at military ranges in Russia's Far East, are being transported by train to the European part of the country near the border with Ukraine.
